That's a compliment, and a pretty darn good one.

I was entirely truthful all along.

Alex, did you have any passive abilities?

I am immune to bullets.

Seeing as there are none, and that was pretty apparent Day 2, the only source of bullets was my own ability.

There was also a 5%, if I am being shot, for the killer to be shot instead.

Fluff.

Or Something.

Yeah I thought I had the game in the bag after I got voting Immunity for day 4.... Seems I planned way too far ahead.

Also just out of curiosity did Reverse (Light) Try and night kill anyone if you could. Because I was thinking that the final kill during Day 3 could have possibly been you as Light.

Yeah, I'm guessing that Sid needed everyone to vote for him or something like that.

My bad, to be honest I was throwing votes around pretty liberally at the end because I thought I'd already won. Then the day kill happened and I was like O.o

@ Overlord Basically everything I claimed apart from this

seeings as there's basically no way for me to win without my kill which by the way activates on every EVEN numbered night. My win con was that I win when I eat 2 people

And that I have 2 win conditions and abilities

I had the ability to kill the entire time...

I knew SO couldn't win if I won.

Here:
Dr Who Role PM:
Welcome to my Domain.
Supreme Overlord

You are Dr Who, from Doctor Who

The TARDIS has broken down, and stranded you on this weird little plan of existence, you can’t leave, but of course you have a reason to be here. There is evil around, you can smell it.

Abilities:

Active:

Protector: Not even the assembled hordes of Genghis Khan could force their way into the TARDIS, what hope does anyone here have? Once per night you may send me a name, that person will be made untargetable that night. They will also be role-blocked. Guess you should’ve given them the key to get out hey.

Passive:

Regenerate: You are the Doctor, you can never truly die, the suicide rate amounts nerds would be ridiculous. If you are night killed, you will return to life immediately and be told the identity of your would be killer.

Win Condition: You win when all killing roles have been eliminated.
I was so confident upon getting this role. I'd side with the town; I thought the biggest obstacle would be convincing everyone that a likely town-vig was an SK; then we could take out the mafia to victory.

Reward:
Role info coupon accepted...

The roles from MS2.0 were sourced from the following locations

Angel Beats!
Elfen Lied
Dr Who
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Harry Potter [series]
Mind Screw Meadow
Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
Death Note

Spoiler:
Welcome to my Domain.
Alex Steiner

You are Angel From Angel Beats.

It seems you’ve wondered into another afterlife, however, instead of helping children with horrible childhoods learn to accept their lives, this world seems to be designed by a madman with no purpose beyond slowly driving you all insane. Still, these people need your help to ‘Pass on’. You can’t just let them stagnate here forever can you?

Abilities:

Active: (1 may be used per night)

Hand Sonic: It seems that in order to move on from this realm, the inhabitants must die. This is not really an issue for you of course. You may send me one name per night. That person will finally be free from the hell that is this reality, they’ll also be very very dead. [Kill method - Diced]

Angel Player: What a coincidence, the software you used to develop your abilities still works in this reality. However there is an issue, you can only target others with this ability. You may send me a name, and an idea for an ability, this ability (or a slightly modified version [balance and all]) will be added to their role for that same night. The ability is lost the next day.

Passive:

Distortion: bullets will curve right around you, and will sometimes rebound on the person who tried to kill such an adorable creature. (1/20 chance)

Win Condition:

You win either by surviving to the final 2 players, or with the Town, depending on which happens first.

Or Something.

OK

Here
This is my role pm:
Spoiler:
Welcome to my Domain
If I Could Rewind

You are Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde, from Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

Where has Hyde left you now, you have no idea where you are, but there are other people here. They could be hurt by Hyde! You must protect them. Even if it means your death. / Well this is interesting indeed, so many potential victims, so little time.

Abilities

Active:

Stalk(ODD NUMBERED NIGHTS): Hyde can’t take control of you if you don’t sleep, this of course leaves you with lots of spare time at night, you may send me one name per night, you will be informed of who that person targeted (if any) and who targeted them (if any)

Eat(EVEN NUMBERED NIGHTS): You are so hungry, that fool Jekyll can’t stop you now. You may send me one name per night, that person will killed [Kill method: Devoured]

Passive:

Split personality: You have a post restriction; on even numbered Days, you must speak with passion, utilising “!” and capslock excessively, whilst on Odd numbered days, you must speak with poise, with excellent grammar and spelling. Failure to comply may result in a mod kill.

Win condition: (ODD) You win when you are lynched. (EVEN) You win when you have killed 2 people.

Discord's Role PM:
Welcome to my Domain.
Sid_The_Kid

You are Discord, from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

HAhAhAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA TIME FOR SOME CHAOS!

Abilities:

Active:

Role reversal: you enjoy watching the chaos unfold when you invert someones base nature, So many more people to mess with >Very Happy. You may send me one name per night, if that person has a night action, it’s effects shall be inverted.

Passive:

Discord: What’s the fun of playing a game, if you know the rules? It just makes it boring, am I right? You are the person responsible hiding the rule-set. It will be reveled upon your death

Trickster: Even death won’t stop you from playing a trick on this worlds inhabitants. You will flip Town when Killed.

Win Condition: You win when ever player has voted for you at least once during the course of the game.

I should have picked up on lack of town when everyone flipped VT; there's no reason to conceal flips unless there’s no town

Was there a theme to how the characters were picked?

A couple of things I liked.
Jekyll/Hyde – juggling win conditions to aim for the correct day. Reminds me of the Mafia-Jester team I proposed a while back; the trick is getting the right one lynched
How SKs could jointly win at endgame; a masonifying ability for alliances would have been interesting

The King of Eggs wrote:I will still do a better write up
I await it eagerly.

Some of those rules are interesting and funny.

Upon reading the rules; I realise I made one major mistake in my assumptions about the game: I assumed that Eggs would equate Mind Screw with complexity, rather than actually putting the effort into making screwy roles and rules (immunities that didn't do anything, VT flips, etc). So good for you.

I like the Angel Player ability; I have often wanted to include such an 'inventor' role in my games, but I've never gotten the chance to do it straight. Alex used it well.

The Role Reversal ability is perfect for Mind Screw; just need to make sure you know how it will interact with each other ability in advance. Pregame the only reason I was concerned about claiming role name is if someone could use my name to mess with my abilities (I didn't fear a Death Note kill because I was properly bulletproof); then Discord's claim made me suspect he could do so, since it's good flavour.

the frog man is hilarious (maybe not that much fun to play ...) and perfectly fits frog from MSM.

Light's Death Note kill is an old standard. Unluckily for that role, it wasn't around Night 1 after a bunch of us had claimed role names, and by Night 2 it was too late.

I think overall the Jekyll/Hyde role was my favourite. Nice complexity in win con, flavourful post restriction, and the abilities ... well, they were fine.
